Automated Filling Systems

Leading Edge Control Solutions is a custom automation design and manufacturing company.

We have extensive experience in the filling industry.

We have worked with Hibar Systems for over 20 years. Initially assisting in Electrical Design and Program Development, Startup and Integration.

With the recent changes at Hibar, we have expanded our services to include supply of Filling Systems, Stand Alone or Integrated into complete assembly line and also pump service and repairs.

Our past experience and support with Hibar allowed us to transition seamless into the Filler Systems.

Fully Automated Fillers

Standard Fillers include automated 4”, 6” and 8” diameter containers for filling.

Semi-Auto Fillers

Semi-auto filler for a more cost effective filler for products with multiple configurations. With supply of different magazines a new product can to produced quickly and at a low cost.

Desktop Fillers

For lower volumes a desktop filler can also supplied that requires an operator to place a container under the dispense and manual trigger the fill.

Robotic Systems

Robots are used for material handling at higher output and more consistency than manual operations.

High Speed Assembly Track Systems

For high volume production requirements high speed track system can lower overall cycle times substantially to meet output demands.

Rotary Dial Assembly Systems

Systems that require a high output but smaller footprint, rotary dial system provide the perfect solution.

Automated Insert Molding Systems

Leading Edge has extensive experience in mold machine loading/unload with down stream automation and testing systems.

System Retrofits

Leading Edge retrofitted two older machines to add new part types to the system.
A new third system was purchased to accommodate an increase in production. The third system included:

  • Two Fanuc Robots
  • Seven AB servos
  • Interface to a Laser Marking System
  • Automatic Screw Gun System
  • Good Part Verification and Reject Part Containment

The new system runs 30% faster than the older cells with an uptime increase of 25%.

Robotic Material Handling Systems

Leading Edge Control Solutions has integrated various robots used in material handling applications.

Scara Robots for smaller part, higher speed tray loading unloading to large 6 axis robots used for palletizing and material handling automation.

Klein Tools Fish Tape Assembly System

Leading Edge retrofitted two older machines to add new part types to the system.
A new third system was purchased to accommodate an increase in production. The third system included:

  • Two Fanuc Robots
  • Seven AB servos
  • Interface to a Laser Marking System
  • Automatic Screw Gun System
  • Good Part Verification and Reject Part Containment

Robotic Depal and Oven Load and Unload System

Leading Edge installed two systems to handle glass jars through and printer to a curing oven and oven unload system.
The system included:

  • Three Fanuc Robots
  • Multiple material handling conveyors with part accumulation
  • Interface to a printer infeed / outfeed system
  • Load on the fly, moving conveyor, from the infeed conveyor to the oven conveyor

The system is able to load the oven with more product and more repeatable than the previous manual load system.

Kisko Products Material Handling, Box Loading, Palletizing

leading Edge Installed and automated System designed to packing product into boxes, convey overhead to a Robotic palletizing system and automatically palletize boxes into various packing patterns onto skids The system consisted of 7 fillers with 3 palletizing systems included:

  • Three ABB Robots
  • Six Up/Down Elevators for boxed product
  • Multiple product transfer conveyors
  • Automatic Skid Depalletize units
  • Interface to Fillers
  • Good Part Verification and Reject Part Containment

The new system can produce 25% more product than the previous manual operations.
